nimino has been on a wild ride over the past years, consistently sharing some of the most exciting yet smooth electronic music gems out there. The forward-thinking Londoner started his career on SoundCloud, amassing over 10k followers before transitioning over to Spotify, where his career really took off. With the help of tastemaker TheSoundYouNeed, who supported nimino’s tunes early, the producer has now amassed tens of millions of streams across platforms, and isn’t stopping anytime soon.

Marking his biggest project to date, nimino has now finally unveiled his highly anticipated debut album in full, titled Rooms On The Ark. Out via TH3RD BRAIN, Rooms On The Ark is a perfect showcase of nimino’s artistic progression over the years, seeing him bring together his signature, lush electronic sound with pop, house and garage influences, all alongside a team of massively talented vocalists. The album’s story is also strongly tied into a visual journey, as nimino epxlains:

“I knew if I was ever to make an album it had to have more to it than just music, but at first I was unsure what story I wanted to tell, or what world it should inhabit. My style has never belonged to a specific category. I see it as being on the same planet as many of the artists I listen to, but in its own territory. This image felt like a fitting base for an album: a slightly desolate, independent landscape. I considered islands, deserts, a house on top of a hill… But once I began visualising the album on a boat, the thoughts started to flow naturally. I worked closely with artists and animators to create the imagery, before stitching the music together and then imagining the whole thing as a cohesive, first person experience.”
