From a humble debut EP release back in 2014, to touring with world-renowned names such as Big Wild, Griz, Glass Animals, Thievery Corporation and many more, IHF has undoubtedly experienced a wild career, and isn’t showing signs of stopping anytime soon. In 2016, his EP Departure solidified his place as a tastemaker within electronic music, while that same year his track “Evolve” was used in Google’s Olympics ad campaign.
“To me, ‘Precious Cargo’ means finding that (sometimes inexplicable) quality in a person, a piece of art, or in yourself that leads to love and fondness. I wanted to create an album that diverged from anything I had ever done, and it ended up defining a leap forward for me personally. Hopefully these songs have a positive impact on you, and help you with whatever it is you’re going through. Or you can just vibe to it.” – IHF
Now, the Washington, DC-based producer and songwriter has finally returned with his most anticipated release to date, his debut album Precious Cargo which has just arrived on all platforms via TH3RD BRAIN. Including lead-up singles “Don’t Forget My Love,” “In My Skin,“ “All You Need” and “It Wasn’t Enough,” which all did a perfect job of teasing the project, Precious Cargo showcases IHF’s artistic vision to its fullest extent, taking listeners on an emotional journey through immersive soundscapes, lush vocals and indie sounds.
