Words by Josh Abraham
You played Communion Presents, London’s New Music Clubnight, on the 2nd February , how was it?
It was a splendid affair! A Sunday sweat box.
What do you do to wind down from all of the stresses of life?
Escaping to my homeland is always a nice way to relax when London’s being a dick. Can’t beat that Scottish air!
The single, N.L.T.D, talks about your mental health journey – what was the inspiration behind talking about your mental health?
My road was a long one that after signing with Capitol records saw me arrested a handful of times and eventually sectioned on Christmas Eve 2015. Having been stable for the last few years I felt inspired to write about my experiences with the hope that in some small way it can help people out there feel less alone.
Do you think social media affects mental health?
Generally speaking I think measuring ones self worth based on likes is fundamentally wrong. Do what makes you happy!
Finally, do you have a favourite music venue that you have played at before?
The Roundhouse was very special. Though We got to play in so many great venues on tour with The Mispers like Paradiso in Amsterdam, La Trianon in Paris it all feels like yesterday. But for me you can’t beat that magic atmosphere in Koko we played a night there for club NME and it blew my mind! Please re open soon!
